emember that the point of Meditation is to rest the mind 100%, and the body will follow. Immediately, the body starts it's holistic healing. Quieting the mind, even for an hour a day, changes the whole make up of the body.
But a real quieting of the mind! There is no fooling the mind.
No speaking, or thinking. Just occupy your mind with an inhale and exhale, slow and easy. By creating this atmosphere you flex your clairvoyant muscles. Enjoyable and pleasant are the keywords. Feel the excitement before you start. Know that this is the time you deserve to give yourself. No phones, no TV, no leaving pots on the range, not a thing that would detract from your purpose, which is to disconnect from all daily concerns for the special time you are dedicating to your health, your balance.

Learn, Learn, Learn and then learn some more....
Do you want to light a candle? Incense? Listen to relaxing music?
These are all extras, but I love incorporating them into my meditating time.
Do you want to sit? Lie down? Also good, but keep back and neck straight and be sure to stay up! Morning better for you or evening? Again, your choice. Do both. Alone or with a group? You pick. Again, do both. The more people meditating, the stronger the energies are.
Use crystals, mantras, Indian feathers, surround yourself with objects you love. Make it a glorious event and one you will always look forward to doing.
The best way to get your feet wet is to find a group near you that meets weekly to Meditate. Find a serious friend, or a group of friends to meet regularly strictly for the purpose of Meditation. Practice developing everyone's psychic guidance. I suggest that at the end of the session, everyone should go home and allow the results of the meeting to settle. If the group wants sharing, (an excellent idea, by the way) incorporate it into the meeting, and keep it brief. Less speaking after meditating is better. Choose another time for the socialization.
These groups are better served with a teacher, or facilitator.
Remember, when the student is ready the teacher appears.
